Wasa realises Tk 9.94 lakh
A mobile court of Dhaka Water and Sewerage Authority (Wasa) in a drive yesterday realised about Tk 10 lakh from bill a defaulter and snapped several connections for not paying the arrears in the city.
The court led by Wasa Magistrate Kazi Wasiuddin went to realise an arrears of Tk 9.94 lakh from a house at Moneshwar Road in Jigatola. The owner of the house instantly gave a cheque for Tk 9.94 lakh to the court.
The court snapped the connection of a public toilet at New Market in the city for not paying an arrear bill of Tk 44 lakh.
