'White' sweeps Cuta polls
Ruling BNP-Jamaat-backed 'White' panel swept the election of the Chittagong University Teachers' Association (Cuta) bagging nine posts, including those of president and general secretary.
Pro-liberation 'Yellow' panel got only two member posts in the 11-member executive committee.
The office-bearers elected from 'White' panel are: President Dr Siddique Ahmed Chowdhury, Vice-President Dr Atiqur Rahman, Treasurer SM Nazrul Kadir, General Secretary Dr Mohammad Ali Chowdhury, Joint Secretary Tanvir Md Haider Ali and members Dr Begum Ismat Ara Haq, Dr Zahed Hossain Sikder, Dr Moktar Ahmed and Syed Rashidunnabi.
