Woman electrocuted in Chittagong
A woman was electrocuted and another injured when they came in contact with a live electric wire at Satkania upazila in the district yesterday.
The dead was identified as Laila Begum, 40, wife of Chan Mia while the injured was Kanchan Begum, 38, wife of Nurul Hoque - both hailing from the same village of Chander Para under Dharmapur of the upazila.
Sources said Laila came in contact with a live electric wire and died on the spot while spreading wet cloths in the sun on a tin-roof that was electrified at around 9:00am.

They were rushed to the Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where the doctors declared Laila dead. Critically injured Kanchan is undergoing treatment in the hospital.
