Workshop on autism held

The Society for the Welfare of Autistic Children (SWAC) organised a workshop on 'Autism: Quality of life issues, development of communication and behavioural competence' that concluded on Saturday, says a press release.

Autism Expert Kaneez Mustary conducted the two-day workshop at the ICMA Auditorium in the city.

National Professor Dr MR Khan attended the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest while Mahfuz Anam, editor of The Daily Star, was present at the closing session as the chief guest.

They appreciated the SWAC's efforts for the welfare of the autistic children.

The National Professor also consented to be the chief advisor to the SWAC.

The SWAC has been working relentlessly for the last six years in the pursuit of improving the lives of autistic children across the country.
