Youngone opens Child Care Centre at CEPZ

"The opening of the centre for the children of its workers is another step of Youngone towards maintaining high standard of the company as well as its commitment to provide healthcare services to the workers and employees," said Chang Sun Sohn, managing director of the company, after inaugurating the centre.

Youngone President Peter Bouer, Deputy General Manager (HRD and Compliance) Harunur Rashid, Director Shahin S Rahman, General Manager of Youngone Sportswear Ltd Mohd Nurul Alam and other company officials were present.

Female workers of the company, who live within walking distance of CEPZ, can now leave their children aged between two months to two years at the Care Centre at 8:00am and take them back at 6:30pm on working days, sources said.

Sources said working mothers would be allowed to visit or feed their kids twice a day at the centre.

Four trained caretakers led by a project coordinator will take care of all the needs of the kids at the Centre. Apart from providing nutritious food as recommended by the doctor and nutritionists, routine health check-up will also be ensured here, they said.
