Water level receding but Teesta causing erosion

Though the flash flood situation is improving, the Teesta river, which flows through Lalmonirhat and Kurigram, continues to erode. Cultivable land and homes are being lost to the river.

Due to the sudden flood, hundreds of families at the riverside have become homeless.
