2-day hartal begins in Bandarban today
The Parbattya Bangalee Somo Adhikar Andolon (PBSAA), a forum of Bangalees in Chittagong Hill Tracts, is set to enforce a 48-hour hartal in Bandarban town tomorrow and the day after protesting CHT Regional Council Chairman Santu Larma's scheduled visit here on September 18.
Shantu Larma, also chief of PCJSS, is scheduled to attend a programme to be organised by Parbattya Cttagram Pahari Chatra Parishad (Hill Student Council), student forum of PCJSS.
The Hartal program was announced at a rally held on Bandarban Press Club premises Thursday evening, organised by the PBSAA.
