4 get life for murder in Patuakhali
Four persons were given life term yesterday for murdering a youth in 2003.
Abdul Kader Howlader, 45, Abdus Sattar Howlader, 40 Ibrahim, 35 and Salem Sarder, 32, all of Chonkhola village in Gala-chipa upazila in the district were convicted for beating 22 year-old Jahirul to death in a land dispute. The murder took place on May 9, 2003.
Salem Sarder is absconding. Five other accused were acquitted.
