Day long strike by RMCH interns

Rangpur Medical College and Hospital (RMCH) internee doctors yesterday observed a strike and stayed off from their duties causing immense sufferings of patients.

Internee Doctors' Association called the strike in protest against attack on its president and a college student by local residents Thursday night.

The college gate was kept under lock and key and no class was held during the strike period.

Internee doctors handed over a memorandum to college principal Prof Azizul Islam and RMCH director Shajahan Biswas urging them to take immediate action against the miscreants who beat up Associ-ation president Ali Reza and a college student.
