Extortionists demand toll over phone
Panic gripped the townspeople as unidentified telephone callers are demanding illegal toll in name of Janajuddha and Purbo Banglar Communist Party.
Three people received threats on Monday. They are managers of Pubali Bank and Karmsangsthan Bank and a retired headmaster of a high school.
Policemen were posted at the residence of an NGO executive on Sunday who received similar threat earlier.
