Jute workers in Khulna call for hartal Tuesday
Jute mill workers called a dawnto-dusk hartal here on Tuesday to press for realisation of 8-point demands and to protest violation of an agreement reached with jute minister Shajahan Siraj at Khulna Circuit House on May 28.
The decision was taken in an emergency meeting at Khalispur office of Patkal Sangram Parishad Friday night. Parishad convenor Sarder Motharuddin presided the meeting.
A road-rail barricade programme was also announced at the meeting as part of the ongoing agitation.
