A Chittagong court yesterday ordered the jail authorities and the inspector general of police (IGP) to produce seven charge-sheeted JMB leaders before it on August 17 in connection with the last year's court bombing case.

The eight charge-sheeted accused are Shaekh Abdur Rahman, Siddiqul Islam alias Bangla Bhai, Ataur Rahman Sunny, Javed Iqbal alias Mohammad, Naimuzzam alias Sohag, Abujor alias Aiyub, M Roman and M Mizan.

All the accused, except Mizan, are now in jails.

Passing the order, Metropolitan Sessions Judge AKM Anwar Hossain also transferred the case to the court of First Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge, Chittagong.

The seven accused were to be produced before the Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court yesterday, but they were not produced in scheduled time.

Police constable Rajib Barua and Jubo League leader Shahabuddin were killed in a suicide bomb blast in front of Chittagong Court gate on November 29, 2005. The JMB suicide bomber died at Chittagong Medical College Hospital a day after the blast.
