Runty tea garden reopens
Rutna Tea Garden in Juri upazila in Moulvibazar district has been reopened after two and a half years' closure and labourers and other garden staff have joined work, sources said.
Earlier, two separate agreements were signed. A trilateral agreement was signed among garden owners, labourers' representative and the district administration. Moulvibazar Additional Deputy Commissioner (revenue) Ayatullah Majumdar signed the agreement on behalf of the administration.
Later, another bilateral agreement was signed between owners and labourers' representative.
