Transport strike in Sirajganj

The strike was jointly called by two associations of bus, minibus and coach owners and workers.

All types of vehicles remained off the roads on the first day of strike.

Transport owners' association president Munshi Kamal Uddin told this correspondent, the decision was taken in protest against toll collection from bus drivers by some workers led by Altaf Hossain, an executive of transport owners' association and Abdul Malek, an association member.
