Upgrade Pabna Edward College to university

About 5000 students of the college left classes to join the human chain in front of the college.

A citizens' committee, formed recently to press the demand, also formed another human chain in the town. Prior to the human chain, leaders of the committee held a brief rally, which was addressed by, among others, Pabna Bar Association president Abdul Matin, Pabna reporters Unity President Habibur Rahman Swapan, journalist Faruk Hossain Choudhury, Pabna Udichi secretary Biplob Chowdhury and district BNP vice-president Abdul Mannan.
