United Nations today urged Myanmar to report the condition of Rohingya refugee women and girls exclusively, now in Bangladesh escaping Myanmar's persecution.
The Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) made the decision last week, said a press release issued from UN today.
It called on Myanmar to provide information on a range of issues surrounding alleged instances of violence against women and girls in northern Rakhine State in recent months.
It requested information concerning cases of sexual violence, including rape, against Rohingya women and girls by the state security forces, the press release adds.
