Cumilla train accident: 7 derailed carriages of Sonar Bangla salvaged
Seven carriages of Sonar Bangla Express, which were derailed after the train hit a freight train in Cumilla last night, were salvaged and sent to Chattogram for repairs today.
Deputy Assistant Engineer of Comilla Railway Liaquat Ali Khan said the Dhaka-bound line of the Dhaka-Chattogram route will open after repairing the damaged railway tracks.

Meanwhile, the railway authorities have confirmed that the Eid trips of Sonar Bangla Express train has been cancelled following the accident, reports our Cumilla correspondent.
Yesterday, rail links of Dhaka and Sylhet with Chattogram, Chandpur and Noakhali were restored with the resumption of train services on the Chattogram-bound line of the Dhaka-Chattogram routes after two-and-a-half hours of suspension.
Meanwhile, the railway authorities have formed a four-member committee to investigate the collision between a freight train and Sonar Bangla Express train at Nangalkot in Cumilla, said Abidur Rahman, Chittagong divisional manager of the railway.
He said the committee has been asked to submit its report within the next three working days, he said.
The committee has already launched the investigation to ascertain whether the accident was caused by negligence of duty or signalling problem or technical glitches.
