BCL expels its two leaders over mugging incident

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) today expelled two of its leaders for breaching discipline and tarnishing the image of the organisation.

They are Mohaimenul Islam Emon, a student of Bangla department at DU, who is the vice president of DU's Surja Sen Hall unit of BCL; and Rajib Hossain Robin, a student of accounting and information systems, who holds the same BCL post at Shaheed Sergeant Zahurul Huq Hall.

Yesterday, a Dhaka court sent the two to jail in a case filed with Shahbagh Police Station after police detained them from Suhrawardy Udyan when they allegedly tried to mug four people by posing as law enforcers.
