Consensus Commission invites top BNP, Jamaat, and NCP leaders to July Charter signing

Badiul Alam Majumdar, member of the National Consensus Commission (NCC), and Monir Haidar, special assistant to the chief adviser involved in the consensus-building process, yesterday delivered invitations to top leaders of the BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, and the National Citizen Party (NCP) for the July National Charter signing ceremony scheduled for today.

The invitation letter for BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia was handed over at Evercare Hospital, where the former prime minister is undergoing treatment.

They also handed over Tarique Rahman's invitation letter to Khaleda's personal secretary, commission sources said.

Invitations were also delivered to Jamaat Ameer Shafiqur Rahman and NCP Convenor Nahid Islam, they added.
