Consensus Commission's first meeting on Feb 15

Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam has announced that the first meeting of the Consensus Commission will be held on February 15.

Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus will preside over the meeting, he added.

He said that all stakeholders including the members of the Reform Commissions, different political parties, and partners of the July uprising will participate in the meeting.

Shafiqul Alam made this statement yesterday during a press briefing organised by the Chief Adviser's Office at the Foreign Service Academy on Bailey Road in the capital.

A decision will be made collectively on whether subsequent meetings will be held jointly or separately, he added.

Deputy Press Secretary Apurba Jahangir and Assistant Press Secretary Shuchismita Tithi were also present at the briefing.
