Jamaat delegation meets visiting UK trade envoy
A delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami met UK Trade Envoy Baroness Rosie Winterton today, who is on a five-day visit to Dhaka.
The six-member Jamaat team, led by the party's Nayeb-e-Ameer Prof Mujibur Rahman, met the British envoy at the UK High Commission this afternoon, according to a press release issued by Jamaat's central publicity department.

Both sides also exchanged views on how the UK could play a greater role in boosting investment in Bangladesh and strengthening bilateral ties.
The meeting touched on the role of women in economic development, with a focus on expanding UK cooperation to enhance women's skills and participation in these sectors.
Other members of the Jamaat delegation included Central Executive Council Members Matiur Rahman Akand and Mobarak Hossain, Women's Wing Assistant Secretary Syeda Rumman, Secretary for Human Resources, Law and Human Rights Sabikun Nahar Munni, and Dhaka South City Women's Wing Assistant Secretary Shahana Parvin.
