Second phase of Ijtema: Two devotees die

Two devotees have died during the second phase of the Ijtema.

The deceased have been identified as Nazmul Hossain, 75, from Chakpatalia village in Sherpur upazila, Bogura, and Didar Tarafdar, 55, from Khulna Sadar.

Md Sayem, media coordinator for the Nizamuddin followers, stated that Nazmul was brought to Tongi Shaheed Ahsan Ullah Master General Hospital at 9:05 PM today with respiratory problems. However, doctors on duty later declared him dead.

He also mentioned that Didar passed away at the same hospital at 1:10pm last Thursday after falling ill with respiratory issues.
