Gono Odhikar Parishad's Joint Convener Faruk Hasan claimed that Nurul Haque Nur, the organisation's member secretary, admitted that he met with Israeli citizen Mendi N Safadi.
But he did not disclose any details of the meeting with Safadi, Faruk claimed while talking in a press conference at the Jatiya Press Club today.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. According to Faruk, Nur admitted to a meeting with Safadi in Qatar when questioned during a party meeting at Reza Kibria's house on June 18.
However, Nur denied receiving any financial benefits from the Israeli citizen during their meeting, Faruk Hasan said.
Nur has so far denied meeting Safadi.
