Shibir announces Sammilito Chhatra Jote panel for Rucsu polls

Islami Chhatra Shibir has announced the "Sammilito Chhatra Jote" panel to contest the upcoming Rajshahi University Central Students' Union (Rucsu) elections.

The announcement came this evening outside the Rucsu treasurer's office, where Abdul Mohaimin, former president of Shibir's Rajshahi University unit and the organisation's current central education secretary, declared the panel.

Agronomy student (2016-17 session) Mostakur Rahman Jahid has been nominated for vice president (VP), Applied Chemistry student (2020-21 session) Fahim Reza for general secretary (GS), and Statistics student (2019-20 session) SM Salman Sabbir for assistant general secretary (AGS).

Jahid currently serves as RU Shibir president, Fahim is a former coordinator, and Salman was an active leader during the July uprising. The panel will contest the polls under their leadership.

Sports secretary: Hamidullah Nayeem with assistant Abu Sayyed Sami

Cultural secretary: Zahid Hasan with assistant Rakibul Islam

Women's affairs secretary: Syeda Hafsa with assistant Samia Jannat

Information and research secretary: Najmus Shakib with assistant Sifat Abu Saleh

Media and publication secretary: Mujahidul Islam with assistant Asadullah Al Galib

Science and technology secretary: Hasan Howlader with assistant Mujahidul Islam Sayem

Debate and literature secretary: Imran Laskar with assistant Noyon Mursalin

Environment and social services secretary: Abdullah Al Masud with assistant Masuma Israt Mumu

The panel's executive members are Dip, Sujon Chandra, Imjiaul Haque Kamali, and Khalid Hasan.
