9th Communication Summit and Commward on Aug 3

With the theme “Creative Leap in the Age of Disruption”, the 9th edition of Communication Summit is going to be held on Saturday, August 3, followed by Commward, which is the only accolade for the country’s advertising industry.

With the theme “Creative Leap in the Age of Disruption”, the 9th edition of Communication Summit is going to be held on Saturday, August 3, followed by Commward, which is the only accolade for the country’s advertising industry.

The summit and the award ceremony will be organised Bangladesh Brand Forum in association with Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, powered by The Daily Star.

The daylong event will take place at Le Méridien Dhaka.

Communication Summit is a platform where renowned global and local experts share knowledge with attendees including marketing and creative professionals from various companies, agencies, associations, NGOs and institutions.

This year the summit will be comprised of three keynote sessions, three panel discussions, one dialogue, three local insights and three global insights.

Three of the keynote speakers of this year’s summit are: Tay Guan Hin, founder and chief creative officer of TGH Collective & Creative Change Catalyst of APAC Global Advisory; Surjo Dutt, national creative director of FCB ULKA; and David McCaughan, co-founder of Marketing Futures & Storyteller at Bibliosexual.

The summit will be followed by Commward: Excellence in Creative Communication. Commward will honour the best creative works in four ranks this year – Grand Prix, Gold, Silver, and Bronze.

The 9th edition of the summit is set to be a precedent for a more rigorous and demanding form of Commward. This will accelerate the process of bringing about a creative momentum within the industries and inspire brands to transcend their communication to global stature.

This year, Commward has introduced the first ever Jury President Tay Guan Hin, who has 25 years of expertise into the evaluation process, to select the best works, alongside other creative experts in the panel. 

Communication Summit and Commward are flagship initiatives of Bangladesh Brand Forum.

Organised in association with the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, the events are powered by The Daily Star.
