Coronavirus: Govt instructs halting political, cultural and religious gatherings

The government has instructed concerned authorities to halt all political, cultural and religious gatherings.  

The administration has given strict instruction to field-level officials to ensure suspension of any such gatherings, including "waz mahfil" and religious pilgrimages.

The decision was relayed to field-level offices from the government via a video-conference this evening.

The video-conference was led by cabinet secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam and Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister Ahmad Kaikaus.
