DB arrests bus driver, helper who killed a cop

The Detective Branch of police arrested a bus driver and helper yesterday on charges of killing of an on-duty police official in the capital's old airport area, Sahadat Hossain, additional deputy commissioner of DB police, told The Daily Star.

The bus driver was Mohammad Golam Mostafa (60) and the helper was Abdul Mannan Latif (45). They were arrested from Pallabi in Dhaka.

Jahangir Alam, an assistant sub-inspector of Kafrul Police Station, died on March 18 after being hit by a bus while trying to catch a mugger in Agargaon.
