A part of Bengroi village in Manikganj has gone into the Kaliganga river as erosion hit the area about a month ago. Locals said the river has already devoured some 25 houses and a large area of cultivable land. Yesterday, they formed a human chain on the bank of the river, demanding the authorities take prompt measures to save the village from erosion. The photo was taken on November 1, 2019. Photo: Star
