Abbas for independent Palestine
Heartiest congratulations to Mr. Mahmoud Abbas on his election as president of the Palestinian Authority.
I sincerely hope that President Abbas will succeed in overcoming all the obstacles on the way to establishing an independent Palestine State.
I would fervently call upon the Palestinian armed groups to suspend their actions for some time and to cooperate with their new leader in finding out a solution to their problem and in ensuring peace and security for them.
