The length and depth of corruption cannot be measured in the context of Bangladesh. We have been 'glorified' as the most corrupt country in the world several times. Therefore, to eliminate corruption our so-called intellectuals and political leaders formed 'Anti-Corruption Bureau'. It was a splendid step for us, no doubt. But we failed to manage it properly. It has been suppressed by political dominance and corruption as well. As it could not fulfil our needs , we again formed the 'Independent Anti -Corruption Commission' through a bill in the parliament. But the question now is whether the 'Independent Anti-Corruption Commission' is active or inactive. If we look at it, we must say that it is inactive. Political dominance has made it a controversial body. The power that it should have has been seized. The title of this institution is imposing but that is not reflected in its action.
What is the justification of having an organisation like this when it fails to deliver?
