AL stand
Awami League chief Sheikh Hasina and General Secretary Abdul Jalil should be more careful while saying anything about the grenade attack and act reasonably. People all over the country are not happy the way Awami League is behaving and are thinking about Abdul Jalil's announcement that by April 30, 2004, the government would fall and also that he had got a trump card which he would play at the right time. People became anxious, nervous and afraid not knowing what was going to happen, they had to change many plans and programmes which was very inconvenient for them. Though nothing happened and people heaved a sigh of relief, still we think the AL General Secretary owes an apology to the people.
A very tragic incident happened on August 21, 2004, and again Awami League Chief Sheikh Hasina and General Secretary Abdul Jalil began saying things which are doing more harm than good to the party.
