This is in reference to the letter of Mr. Hamidur Rahman "Anarchy in the name of religion" published in the DS, 24th December 2003. Mr. Rahman, from where did you cite "Don't brand as non-Muslims the men who utter and have faith in Kalima Tayyeba?" Your quotation sounds controversial to me .

For your kind information, I want to clarify you quotation, that to be a Muslim two vital things are fundamental for every man to accept-- trusting and following the Holy Koran and its preacher Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SM).

However, unfortunately the Ahmadiyyas trust, believe and follow the Holy Koran but they accept Gulam Ahmad Kadiyani as their prophet. That is why Ulemas and rational Muslims don't consider them as part of Islam.

So how can you say that Ahmadiyyas have faith in your cited Kalima Tayyeba as they don't accept and follow the rules and regulations (Akida) of the Prophet?

Maybe, for this reason the religious leaders of every sect of Muslims have already declared the Ahmadiyyas as non-Muslims.

Like you, I am not in favour of religious bigotry. Islam is a religion of peace and patience. Bangladesh is a moderate Muslim country. Most of the people of our country are Muslims, but constitutionally Bangladesh is not a Muslim country.

So the government is not expected to declare Ahmadiyyas as non-Muslims.
