The IAF is the world's fourth largest airforce equipped with guided missiles and hundreds of modern aircraft.

By offering sale of F-16 combat planes to Pakistan the US has not only been successful in creating anxiety and jealousy and enticing New Delhi to procure superior quality F-18 aircraft but it has also diverted India from Russia to the US for purchase of arms worth billions of dollars.

For the sake of balance of power in the sub-continent , Bangladesh should also try to upgrade its defence capability by procuring F-16 aircraft.
