Let me introduce myself. I'm a Bangladeshi who lives in the United States for the last 15 years. I'm neither affiliated with nor a member of any political party. However I've deep concern for the well-being of my country. In my childhood, I witnessed the corruption and nepotism of ruling Awami League from 1972-1975 After the tragic August 15 incident and other turmoil, General Zia came to the power. Within a short period of time he became an icon of Bangladesh. His personality and honesty made him one of the most respectable men in the country. I emphasis the word 'honesty' which means Zia never let any of his relatives to use his name to make money or to get any other favour. That is the only reason why millions of people, including me, cried when he died.

Now it is the duty of the BNP to follow the footprints of its founder.
