Bad news for US people
The strong support of evangelists for Mr. Bush proves that they really care about the moral and ethical issues of the US society. In terms of gay marriage and abortion issues Mr. Bush is right but at the same time it is also true that Mr. Bush is a Liar.
So it is not clear whether evangelists are concerned about moral or ethical issues honestly but it is evident that evangelists are great opportunists. Bad news for the evangelists is that they relied on Mr. Bush. Question is, "Can we rely on a liar?Â
Another bad news for the US people is that the anti terrorism war of Mr. Bush and his trident (Ramsfeld-Chenny-Rice) can never be won. I think it should be verified whether terrorism itself is genuine or not, before going to any kind of war. Otherwise the anti-terrorism war will definitely turn into another form of terrorism. What the US is doing in Iraq is not only TERRORISM but STATE SPONSORED & INSTITUTIONALISED TERRORISM. The misadventure of the US in Iraq has proven that the US may gain limited success by her military might but she doesn't have the ability to sustain that limited military success. As the US has no moral and legal ground behind invading Iraq this time, there are no options left for it to win politically in Iraq . At the end of the day, winning politically or political settlement matters most. Unfortunately the US is not winning politically in Iraq. As a result insurgents of Iraq are not considered as a security threat, rather they are considered as the most legitimate resistance force against the foreign invading troops. The anti-terrorism war of Mr. Bush will become more intensified in near future. Naturally that situation will require more human resources. Are the other countries going to supply those resources? The dirty war that the US initiated in the name of anti-terrorism has to be carried out by the US people themselves only. Republicans, evangelists have favoured Mr. Bush in this election but in return not only the supporters of Bush but also the other US people (democrats) may get one way tickets to IRAQ, may be IRAN or SYRIA to fight anti-terrorism war during the four year term of Mr. Bush. So insecurity of the lives of US people comes from two fronts. Obviously, one threat will come from Muslim people around the world who are very much angry over the controversial US policies towards Muslims. The other one will come from the US government itself as it will force US people to go to the front line of war against terrorism.
Some sensible US people are optimistic that Mr. Bush may adopt a more moderate and liberal foreign policy than what he adopted in his previous term to end his political carrier with glory. Bad news again. The recent appointment of Condoleezza Rice as the secretary of state gives an indication that Mr. Bush is not a flip flopper like Senator John Kerry and he (Bush) will remain very much consistent in his foreign policies that he adopted in his previous term.
Peace, happiness, secured life, all these words, will remain illusive to US people.
