Over the last few weeks the nation is observing a severe chaotic environment on the university campuses. Not only Buet or Sher-e-Bangla Agriculture University but also half a dozen of public universities are facing class suspension, strike, clash among the student-wings and vandalising of premises by students. The reason behind this turbulence goes back to political rivalry, corruption of authorities and the question of the acceptance of VCs. Indeed, this is a sudden buzz in our education sector that will cause irreparable loss to the rising generation of the country.
But our national leaders are maintaining a conspicuous silence on this matter. This is indeed an ominous sign for the country.
