Not long ago, may be in 2003, I was browsing the TV channels, then I happened to watch a beautiful drama named 'Apad' (based on the short story of great poet Rabindranath Tagore), in which both Rhidi Haq and Litu Anam were lead players. They were so skilful in portraying their roles and I was so engrossed with the drama that in my mind I thought that Tagore himself would have been appreciative to see that his thoughts were portrayed so real. Thereafter, many a time I would sit or lie alone and replay the scenes again and again in my mind and get pleasure. I thought what harm could be if the wife of the Zamindar (Rhidi) would not go away with her husband from the Kuthibari, rather would stay in the boat with the Apad (Litu). But today, I saw the happy news of their tying the knot. I am sure the foundations of this real life drama was laid in 'Apad'. I congratulate both of than.
