Contradictory demand
When campaigns against the death penalty are ongoing the world over, some of the political leaders and lawyers in Bangladesh are pressing the govt. hard to cancel the clemency extended to Jhintu by the President of the country. By that they are abdicating their responsibility to the society. If the President of the Republic has pardoned someone it is his prerogative which cannot be questioned.
