Every year after passing the HSC examinations a great number of students in our country have to shelve their higher education dreams because of financial constraints. As a result, they become frustrated . If they had got the opportunity to pursue higher education, they might have been able to build up a good career. I congratulate the Dutch-Bangla Bank Foundation for identifying the problem and deciding to introduce scholarships for financially insolvent students.

I appeal to the DBBF authorities to keep 50 (out of 100) positions reserved for only financially handicapped students and accept GPA-3 as the criterion for their eligibility.
