DCC: Poor monitoring
The DCC's operations and maintenance have never been good . In my area, the lights of an adjoining park and a street are inoperative for many months. I drew the attention of the area DCC commissioner in writing, but no action has been taken. There is a club in the park. Lack of lighting might encourage anti-social activities there .
When the DCC cannot run the daily operations, how can we expect it to handle big projects of hundreds of crore taka? Both the old municipal system and the personnel concerned have failed to deliver.
