Disappointing cricket

Cricket is a game of great uncertainty; but the better side usually wins on a particular day playing their best, no matter whom they play against. That's what the cricketing world witnessed when Bangladesh trounced Australia in the Natwest series. Our cricketers showed their full potential and used all armoires against such strong opposition and finally came out victorious. The whole world was rocked by the roar of Bengal Tigers.

After the triumph in England, our expectation has gone up and we are expecting our cricketers to fight for win against any opposition. But the Sri Lanka tour has really disappointed all of us. We find lack of cricketing sense among our boys. They continue to repeat the same mistakes. Application of appropriate cricketing techniques was absent. The positive approach that they showed on the England tour was not at all present. Their body language suggested that psychologically our boys are demoralised and losing it before they actually get into the game. Why is this happening? All kinds of facilities are given to our players, and a high-profile coach is there. Why recurrence of such dreadful results?

Bangladesh lost the first Test match with Sri Lanka. It was disappointing cricket. There was no fight whatsoever in the match.

Honestly, not even for a moment it looked like as if Bangladesh were on top. From the first hour of the first day, it was Sri Lanka all over Bangladesh.

We all know how our team's performance was criticised back in England when we played horribly with them. Even some of the commentators said offensive and negative things regarding their performance. We protested and did stand behind our team every time they had a bad/horrible day. That time back in England we argued that the condition over there was not suitable for us, we argued about the bouncy track, the media and all other things to defend our team.

But what can they possibly say this time for the poor performance ? How can a team be so good and so bad at the same time?
