It's a privilege and great honour for a student either in graduate or postgraduate level to be able to participate in a convocation, for a Bangladeshi student the third convocation after liberation is certainly an added advantage. It takes years for the authorities to arrange one and by the time one forgets that there will be one, the former student gets to hear about the convocation(of course lucky are the fresh graduates). Getting a diploma from the institute is thrilling and exciting for the degree holder. And when you feel that you're truly seeing the favourite leader of the current times Dr. Mahathir Mohamad delivering a wonderful and valuable speech, you just forget that you belong to a world full of corruption, crime and what not. Yes, that's exactly what happened to me when I was listening to Dr. Mahathir's speech who told us about law in modern days, how law is being practised in his country, lessons from the Holy Quran and Shariah(Islamic law) and also his eloquent advice.

I was listening and wondering when are we going to have a great leader like him who could transform our country to a prosperous one in all aspects. Thank you, Sir, for kindly sparing some time for us and thank you, University of Dhaka authorities, for letting us participate in such an important event. May be a casual one for intellectuals but definitely a memorable one for people like me..
