Dumped jewellery

Thanks to the organisers of the jewellery shopping mela. At least they have shown the courage not to hide the real fact. I like to refer to the advertisement published in the DS on Feb.6. It's clear from the advertisement that production of such gold plated jewellery has been banned in India by the court on the ground of pollution and that these products are now dumped in Bangladesh market. The reason behind selling the jewellery at 90% discount is not hard to imagine -- it's the only alternative to destroying them getting no value.

But I wonder how the Ministry of Commerce has given permission to such an act.
