Motorcycle is a fast, economical and convenient mode of transport. It can contribute significantly towards addressing the ever-growing traffic menace in our country. Surprisingly, it has not received its due attention so far. The office goers as well as the student community can be immensely benefited by using motorcycles. The family members can derive benefit as well. However, the current market price of motorcycles is exorbitant. Measures should be taken to minimise the costs and make it affordable.
The government can encourage the use of motorcycles by providing them at subsidised rates to the genuine, authorised office-goers and students.
