A 'faux pas'
In his regular column published in the DS of 17 May, Brig. Gen. M. Abdul Hafiz (retd.) made an autopsy of the recent abortive moves of the Awami League. It has been captioned 'The AL's faux pass'. The phrase 'faux pas' is derived from French, which means false step, and the second word is spelt with a single 's', not double.
