Finance minister's stance
Whatever might be the causes behind the rift in the BNP, it was indeed a sad sight on the TV channels when Finance Minister Saifur Rahman was being interviewed.
His face and the words that were being articulated bore a sad tone along with a sense of dejection. He appeared to be quite emotional at times during the interview that made him look frustrated. This veteran leader of the BNP, with all the human limitations, contributed much to the consolidation of the party.
The firmness with which the minister is found resolved on his stance indicates that something is going wrong in the party.
