First of all, I wish to thank my very dear ex-student Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed (now at Princeton, US) for his wonderful write-up on Faujdarhat Cadet College (former East Pakistan Cadet College). I am proud to be associated with this famous educational institution of the country. I served more then two decades in this Cadet College. I was lucky to teach some of the best students of the country and many of them are close to power and some have also been serving in the foreign universities as teachers and also holding important positions abroad in different sectors.

I am a freelance writer and bilingual poet. As for Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed, I have some important points to remember regarding his academic excellence and determination in achieving the impossible by his hard endeavour in real life. When I was in England working as a visiting teacher in Wellington and Atlantic College, United Kingdom, I did mention the name of Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed as the pride of the country to many of my known acquaintances.

Redrawing my poetic accomplishment, Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed is a silent patron of my poetic production for which the US based International Society of Poetry honoured me in 2001. Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed knows very well that I wrote a piece on Sir William Morris Brown, the first Principal of the then East Pakistan Cadet College, who is still alive in the minds of his ex-students as the legendary figure in the academic excellence of this institution.

My write-up was published in the journal of the Cadet College teachers.
