Gay marriage

In his letter Raihan said, "If we go back to history of Roman Empire, the epidemic of homosexuality was rampant and they became filled with every kind wickedness, evil, greed, depravity, envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice." Mr. Raihan, I must ask you to whom you actually refer when you use the words "they became"? Are you speaking of people with your views? Are you speaking of the world in general as it is now, as indeed it seems to describe it pretty well I would say.

Please explain exactly what you mean.
