Good news
Congratulation to Abdur Rahim Bacchu Mia for his silent revolution of cultivating pineapple, replacing harmful tobacco. I very sincerely thank the reporter for presenting such a useful and encouraging article. Bacchu Mia has also developed the unique system for inter-cropping. I hope and believe that various NGOs and social organisations will highlight this success and encourage farmers to give up tobacco cultivation. Tobacco is spoiling our society, specially young generation. Hundreds of thousands of young men start with tobacco and afterwards become addicted to heroin and ultimately die.
I request the newsmen of Bangla dailies to highlight the success of Bacchu Mia, so that other farmers can follow him.
