Heroic act of police
The news "Two robbers held as daring bid to rob house foiled" of February 5, 2004 drew my attention. I have come to know that there are still some courageous policemen ready to protect people. I would like to thank the policeman who, taking the risk of being hit by the robber's bullet, entered the room and shot the robber.
I think this kind of heroic acts should be rewarded to encourage the members of police. Though we are irritated with corruption and other shortcomings of police, we still think that if they come forward to help the citizens and show their ability to improve the law and order situation, they will be again regarded as friends.
